Just completed 3 days at the University of Central Florida Medical School in Brain Dissection. The goal of the lecture was the unravel the mysteries of brain injuries, degeneration, trauma and to use the knowledge gained in a retrograde fashion so as to apply it clinically at the bedside when assessing and treating brain-injured people.
We dissected brains with many different types of lesions including: Alzheimers, Parkinsons, Stroke, Hydrocephalus, Traumatic Brain Injury/Concussion, Cancer and many others. We dissected brains of both female and male children, teenagers, adults and seniors all of which taught us the differences of the brains gender specific and also how disease affects the genders differently.
I return to my practice with an even more Humbling desire to examine, treat and prevent deterioration of the human brain.
